IEEE SIU 2024 Best Young Researcher Award
18.05.2024Our senior undergraduate student Ozan Durgut successfully presented his research conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Cem Ünsalan at the 32nd IEEE Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU 2024) and was honored with the "Best Young Researcher Award".
TEKNOFEST 2023 Digital Technologies in Industry Category 1st Prize
27.04.2023Competing in the "Digital Technologies in Industry" category at TEKNOFEST 2023 Aerospace and Technology Festival, the MarCO Team won the First Prize trophy for our university with their Autonomous Vehicle Project, along with a 60,000 TRY cash award. The project team included our undergraduate students Fatih Küçük and Mustafa Erdem Tusun.

TÜBİTAK 2242 University Students Research Project Competition 2nd Place
26.07.2022Our undergraduate student Eren Atmaca, supervised by Prof. Dr. Cem Ünsalan, achieved 2nd Place Nationwide in the Food and Agriculture track of the TÜBİTAK 2242 National Finals with his capstone project titled "Smart Trap Design for Mediterranean Fruit Fly Detection Using Machine Learning and Embedded Systems".
TÜBİTAK 2242 University Students Research Project Competition 1st Place
29.09.2021Supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salih Bayar, our senior undergraduate students Berkay Yılmaz, Anılcan Bulut, and Halil Hakan Çopur won the 1st Prize in Turkey in the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship category of the TÜBİTAK 2242 competition with their project “Translating Turkish Text to Turkish Sign Language Using Deep Learning and Neural Machine Translation”.
TÜBİTAK 2242 Smart Cities & Transportation Category 1st Prize
24.09.2020Under the supervision of our faculty member Prof. Dr. Cem Ünsalan, our student Batuhan Yılmaz was awarded 1st Prize in Turkey in the "Smart Cities and Transportation" category of the TÜBİTAK 2242 University Students Research Project Competition with his project titled “Detection of Contraband, Weapons, and Suicide Bombers via Radiometric Imaging Technology Using Computer Vision and Deep Learning Models”.
