A total of 9 undergraduate research teams from our Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Marmara University have been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A (Research Project Support Programme for Undergraduate Students) and TÜBİTAK 2209-B (Industry-Oriented Research Project Support Programme for Undergraduate Students).

Prof. Dr. Fulya Çallıalp as an interdisciplinary initiative, Computer Engineering undergraduate students Nael Ayoubi and M. Said Çanak have been awarded research funding under the TÜBİTAK 2209-B (Industry-Oriented Research Project Support Programme for Undergraduate Students) for the 2024/1 Term with their project proposal titled “Smoking Cessation and Healthy Living”.

Advised by our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Cihan, undergraduate students Sude Gürbüz (Principal Investigator) and Betül Aydın were awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A program for their project proposal titled “Optimization of Intelligent Traffic Signalization Systems”.

18.05.2022In the TÜBİTAK 2209-A 2021/2 call, a total of 17 undergraduate research projects submitted by our students were awarded national funding:
- Our department ranked 2nd overall within Marmara University in terms of total accepted projects.
- Projects from our department accounted for 55% of all 31 grants secured by the Faculty of Engineering.
- Nationwide, our department ranked as the 4th highest performing Electrical and Electronics Engineering department in Turkey in this call.
