Electrical & Electronics Engineering Long-term Internship Principles:

1-) A trainee has to be at work at least 3 working days in a week during a long-term internship. A trainee can not have any courses in the working days.

2-) The long-term internship will be at least 3 months. The long-term internship applications that are less than 3 months will not be accepted.

3-) If the rules mentioned above are satisfied by the student who will apply for the long-term internship, the procedure to be followed is as below:

i-) A trainee is expected to work on a continuing project or the trainee should undertake a problem to solve during the internship.

ii-) A one-page Project definition or problem definition letter must be given among the application documents. This letter should be signed by the responsible person from the company.

iii-) The one-page letter and other required documents should be submitted to the responsible person.

After submitting your whole documents to the Internship Commission, your situation will be under review.

 

Electrical & Electronics Engineering Long-term Internship Principles:

1- Applications for long-term internships can be made in the 4th year (in case of graduation).
 
2- Long-term internship CANNOT be done in the summer. It can be done after the process of add and drop courses during the semester is completed.
 
3- Students who will do long-term internships must work at least 3 working days a week. He/she should not have any classes on the days of his/her internship.
 
4- Long-term internship will be at least 3 months. Long-term internship applications of less than 3 months are not accepted.
 
5- If the above-mentioned items are suitable for students who will apply for a long-term internship, they can follow the procedures below:
 
i) Students are expected to work on the employer's ongoing project or take responsibility in solving the employer's problem during the work process.
ii) A page describing the project or a document describing a specific problem must be among the long-term internship application documents. These documents must be signed by the employer.
iii) Students must submit the required documents to the Internship Commission.
 
6- Required documents:
i)  An employer-approved document describing a project or a specific problem.
ii) Advisor approved weekly course schedule
iii) Advisor approved transcript
iv) Petition containing student information and internship start-end information
 
After students submit all their documents to the Internship Commission, their situations will be examined.
 
Long Term Internship END Process
 
1- Documents that must be submitted at the end of the Long-Term Internship (Short-term) must be delivered to the responsible internship advisor within 2 weeks after the end of the internship.
 
2- Documents to be submitted at the end of the internship:
i)  Internship Report (Sample Internship Report Draft): Must be filled out in ENGLISH daily. Apart from the contents, what is done day by day will be detailed separately. There must be a STAMP and SIGNATURE on the cover page.
Notebooks that do not comply with the format will NOT be accepted.
ii)  Internship Evaluation Form: To be delivered in a sealed envelope.
iii) Internship Report Evaluation Form: To be delivered in a sealed envelope.
 
3- ALL documents to be delivered at the END of the internship can be delivered to your relevant internship advisor by the Employer via e-mail.
