You can access licensed engineering and productivity software packages (such as MATLAB, Microsoft Office 365, Autodesk suites, etc.) provided for our students and researchers through the Marmara University Department of Information Technology (BİDB) portal.
Cadence OrCAD X Personal Academic License
SheerID Verification • 6-Month RenewalTo perform schematic capture and PCB design on your personal computer, you can verify your academic status via the SheerID platform using your institutional email address (@marmara.edu.tr / @marun.edu.tr) and obtain a free Cadence OrCAD Single User License.
Acquisition and Installation Steps:
- Navigate to the official Cadence OrCAD Academic License page and click on Free Academic License.
- Select the Join or log in link on the portal to start the process.
- Log in if you already have an existing Cadence account.
- If you do not have an account, click on Create an Academic Account, register with your university email address, and complete the SheerID verification steps.
Important Note: Personal academic licenses are valid for a duration of 6 months. To ensure uninterrupted access, the license must be renewed every 6 months following the same verification steps.
